The Quilt Quest Traveling Trunk was created as a method for transporting children's books, games, activities and samples based upon the Quilt Quest manual across the state of Arizona. The trunk includes samples of antique quilts, a variety of contemporary small quilts such as a 4-H pattern quilt, quilts featuring tessellations, machine embroidery with blanket stitching (also called buttonhole stitching), and redwork done by both hand and machine. It includes "Name the Block" games, a floor quilt matching game and reproducible math and puzzle games based on quilts and quilting. The trunk is available to be loaned to AQG Chapters for use in their local areas.
"The Quilt Quest Traveling Trunk is a treasure trove of extraordinary teaching tools. The trunk contains a wide variety of quilt projects and teaching matterial for all ages. Our chapter was amazed at the thought and care that went into designing the projects. It was clearly a labor of love. We look forward to using the trunk as we explore the wonderful artistic tradition of qulting with the next generation."
